Take part in the II Eurostars Hotels photography award

Eurostars Hotels presents the second edition of its original photographic competition orientated exclusively towards its guests. With the 2nd Eurostars Hotels Photography Award“Your view is personal”, the chain belonging to the Hotusa Group will grant prizes, consisting of free accommodation and Olympus cameras, for the best images recorded in the cities where the chain possesses hotels, photographed by guests who have been accommodated in its establishments.

The competition is open to all those persons who have been accommodated in any of the Eurostars Hotels. Each participant can present a maximum of three photographs, although the jury can only award a prize to one sole photo by any one participant. As specified in the conditions of the competition, the pictures should be sent in digital format (as jpg files), maximum size 2 MB, either by e-mail to espersonal@eurostarshotels.com, or on a CD by post to Eurostars Hotels, Communication Department, Ref. Your view is personal. C/Princesa 58 – Pral. 08003 Barcelona.

The deadline for entering photographs is 14 December 2007. The jury’s decision will be communicated personally to each of the winners and will be published during January 2008 on the Eurostars Hotels website.

The jury will select a total of 25 from all the entries, of which three will be prize-winners 7 runner-up and 15 will be classified as finalists. The first prize will consist of a 5-days stay in one of the Eurostars Hotels and an Olympus E-400 camera; the second prize will be a three-days stay in a hotel belonging to the chain and an Olympus Mju 760; the third prize will obtain a weekend stay in a Eurostars Hotel and an Olympus FE 230 camera with waterproof casing; and the remaining 7 runners-up will be awarded with a Olympus FE-210 camera.
The finalists will receive a diploma and their work will be included in a travelling exhibition that will be shown in the different hotels belonging to the chain.

The first edition of the Eurostars Hotels Photography Award received  more than 600 competing entries . The winning photograph was a spectacular image that recreates the beauty of the Segovian  “Aqueduct”, taken by Víctor Fraile. The runner-up was a photograph called “Moored”, taken in Corunna by Luis Eugenio Ferreiro, while the third place went to Paolo Sciacca, for the photograph “Oratio”, an original portrayal of St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.
