05/12/07 The Eurostars Las Adelfas**** (Cordova) hotel presents an exhibition of the andalusian artist Magdalena Romero. The establishment shows, from the 5^th December to 30^th January, 25 pictures of Romero. The artist defines her creations like a purist demonstration of the watercolour technical, adding that these paints contain her feelings, emotions and hopes.

Romero’s creations are inspired in the urban and natural landscapes of Andalucia. The artist, who utilizes the watercolour skill, says that “the perfect use of the watercolour is my artistic objective, even knowing the difficult of its employment”.  Romero adds: “the watercolour is an unknown skill, but this difficult it’s an encouragement in my way for creation”. Magdalena Romero utilizes “a pure watercolour style”, arguing that “it’s possible to obtain transparent and magical effects with it”.

The natural and pure way of Romero’s painting it’s manifested in the topics that she describes. “The nature is my main inspiration, because a flower can be a shocking sight of beauty and aesthetics. The Andalusian urban landscapes and the human forms are the other pillar of these pictures.

The exhibition houses by the Eurostars Las Adelfas**** (Cordova) hotel contains paintings as “Mezquita” (dedicated to the popular Cordoba’s monument), “Atardecer”, “Rosas” or “Toros en la Dehesa”. Magdalena Romero has displayed his work in some exhibitions such as the Saint John Fontanal Prize” (organised by Cajamar, 2004), or the “Agua Viva” exhibition (“Alive Water”, showed in Rincón de la Victoria, 2003). Romero’s paints have been showed at the Palet Art Magazine Fundation (Amsterdam, 2004 and 2005), and on the Culture Ministry of Aruba (AntillaIslands, 2003).
