The Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel*****G.L (Barcelona) restaurant, the “Aire de Mar”, presents “Rice Classics. This is a delicious, top-class culinary proposition that can be enjoyed every day of the week up until 31 de August. For the whole month, clients visiting the restaurant can sample a carefully selected assortment of four varieties of this thousand-year old cereal, prepared in five different ways to enhance all its flavour.

 

The proposition, brain child of the Eurostars Hotels CEO, Miquel Fluxà, and the head chef of the “Aire de Mar”,  Sergi Caba, includes recipes prepared with Spanish and Italian grain. From the Bomba de Calasparra, one of the most prestigious original Spanish grains, accompanied by Lobster with babyvegetables, to the Arborio Rice from the Po Valley with angler fish, baby squid and saffron, a delicious dish that highlights this excellent cereal from the Italian region of Lombardy.

 “The Rice Classics”, that will share the limelight with the restaurant’s summer menu card for the whole month, also star another three dishes. These are “Illa de Riu”Bomba Rice (Tarragona) with Duck confit and sautéed Boletus edulis, the Senia Bomba Rice (Valencia) Señor Parellada style and a traditional sea-food recipe, Black rice with cuttlefish, clams and cockles, prepared with Illa de Riu Bomba rice. In this way, clients can choose between the usual restaurant menu card and these suggested dishes, with rice as the star.

The “Rice Classics” sessions are included in the gastronomic propositions offered by the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel*****G.L. With these initiatives, the “Aire de Mar” is consolidating its status as a reference for Barcelona haute cuisine.
