The Eurostars Anglí****Hotel (Barcelona) as of 19 July, offers an exhibition of works by artist Ángeles Oria (Lepe, Huelva, 1973).  The show is composed of a dozen paintings that, to quote their creator, are influenced by a movement “close to American abstract expressionism”. Thus, Oria’s work reflects her personal style through “active communication paintings”. The Eurostars Anglí**** will be displaying this exhibition until next 7  September.

Ángeles Oria defines her work as “sincere and coherent with my way of feeling”, assuring that her language is “colour and form”. In this way, she works in a style that is much her own and absolutely classical, expressing herself in paintings that cannot be identified with anything recognizable. Nevertheless, this Andalusian artist invites one to “explore this world of sensations, so necessary for exploring the human being”, through direct observation of her paintings.

In this sense, Oria adds that viewers of her work should “exercise their powers of observation”, because “a painting does not have just one reading, but as many as there are admirers of that piece of work”. Moreover, this artist invites all those people who come to view her exhibition, “to feel freely the sensations that they can see reflected in the different paintings”.

Originating from Huelva, this artist assures that drawing, sculpture and ceramics fascinate her, but above all, that painting won her over a long time ago. Also, she says, her main source of inspiration is her everyday life; that is, all that happens inside as well as outside her environment.
