The Eurostars Laietana Palace**** houses, from 24 July to 6 September, an exhibition with works by Enric Aguilar Puig.The exhibition will be opened this Wednesday, 25 July at 8 p.m. According to their creator, the works find their inspiration in his own personality. “If one looks hard at oneself from within, inspiration flows from the mind and the heart”, the artist explains.

Enric Aguilar Puig defines his paintings as “intuitive and sincere pieces of work”. The artist, who declares feeling most at ease with matteric painting, commenced his training in 1987. That year, he began studies at the Escola d’arts i oficis Illa (Sabadell). While finishing his degree in Fine Arts at BarcelonaUniversity, he held his first individual show at the Centre Cívic Can Rull (Sabadell, 1995). As from that time, Enric Aguilar Puig’s work has been prominent in various exhibitions, such as the Jamaica Gallery (1989), La Rambla Tavern (1999) or the Espai Blanc Gallery (2005).

As for collective exhibitions, works by Aguilar Puig have joined others in places like Casal Pere Quart (Sabadell, 1990), Barcelona Autonomous University (Cerdanyola del Vallès, 1995), Canillo (Principado de Andorra, 1996), Wats Art Gallery (Castellar del Vallès, 1998) or the Sala del Roser (Ciutadella, Menorca, 2006). Additionally, this painter has developed other activities, having become a member of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Fine Arts (Sabadell) between 1999 and 2001. This post earned him another position as member of the Board of the Art Museums Trust, between 2000 and 2001.
