As another example of their strong desire to be linked with the world of art and culture, Hotusa Hotels, in collaboration with the Universitat de Barcelona and RBA Libros S.A., has announced the third edition of the Eurostars Hotels Travel Writing Award.
This contest, which is running for the second time, will award a single prize of 18,000 euros to the piece that, in the opinion of the panel, is the best narrative or collection of narratives entered. In addition, the winning piece will be distributed free in all of the rooms of the more than 39 establishments of the Eurostars Hotels chain.
With a minimum of 80 and a maximum of 150 pages double spaced and single sided, entries should be written in Castilian Spanish and may consist of a single account or be divided into a maximum of 3 independent narratives, provided that these do not exceed the permitted limit. In addition, it is a necessary condition that entries are original and unpublished
The prestigious Panel chosen to judge this award consists of 1 representative of the University of Barcelona, 1 representative of RBA Libros S.A., 1 representative of HOTUSA Hotels and 2 writers of recognised prestige, in addition to a secretary with voice and without vote.
All those who wish to enter this Award should hand 5 copies of their work in to the University of Barcelona Communications Office (Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes, 585. Barcelona.(08007). The closing date for entries is the 31st of May 2007.
This contest may not be considered null and void. Narratives sent by e-mail will not be accepted.
