Eurostars Hotels makes its debut in Paris and Lisbon
11/07/2008 Eurostars Hotels has opened its first establishments in Paris (Eurostars Panorama) and Lisbon (Eurostars Das Letras), thus consolidating its commitment in favour of internationalization. In this context, of the 49 establishments that comprise the portfolio of the chain belonging to the Hotusa Group, approximately twenty are to be found distributed over various European and American countries (U.S.A., Argentina and Mexico).
The two new hotels are included within the concept of boutique hotels, with which the Company intends to expand in the large cities. The Eurostars Panorama, a 43-room establishment located in the centre of Paris, already belonged to the Group’s hotel division but has been entirely remodelled to adapt it to Company standards.
Likwise, the Eurostars Das Letras 5*, attached to the Group via a rental agreement, is a luxurious establishment with 107 guestrooms, located in the exclusive High District of the Portuguese capital. Both pay tribute in their decoration to the cities that house them, a sign of distinction on the part of the chain which makes a point of backing differentiation in its product, according to the destination.
Amancio López Seijas, the Hotusa Group chairman, assures that: “The opening of these two establishments in Lisbon and Paris consolidates our commitment to be present in the major European cities and this will be continued in the future”. The Company recently announced its 125 million euros investment for the construction of two hotels in Munich and one in Berlin, by means of a loan facility with twelve financers.
Eurostars Panorama: a lovesong to the ‘City of Lights’
The Eurostars Panorama is set in a 19th century Haussmann style building, following the traditional Parisian architectural pattern. In contrast, its interior design is outstanding for its modern styling and high-tech furniture. The hotel decoration pays tribute to the most representative monuments and traditions of the city, achieved by a multitude of careful details. One of the most stunning is the bedheads, crowned by fragments of some of the most famous melodies from the French chansonniers, like “Les bruits de Paris” (Charles Trenet), “Paris sera toujours Paris” (Albert Willemetz) or ”C’est magnifique” (Yves Montand).
The words of these so well-known chansons accompany a series of vinyl strips recreating typical Parisian scenarios, such as the EiffelTower, Notre-Dame, the traditional cabarets or the legendary metro stations originating from the end of the 19th century. The lobby is dominated by a spectacular mural reproducing the famous scene from “Casablanca” in which Humphrey Bogart tells Ingrid Bergman, “We’ll always have Paris”.

Eurostars Das Letras: the art of words in a luxurious setting
The Eurostars Das Letras offers its guests a surprising mixture of luxury, fine materials and design, crowned with a very special detail. Each of its 107 guestrooms (amongst them, 6 suites) is flecked with excerpts of classical literature of all times, the works of authors such as Federico García Lorca, Dostoievsky, Geothe, Orwell or Pessoa.
The establishment rises proud in the form of a newly-built edifice, located in the High District of Lisbon, one of the most exclusive areas of the city centre. The hotel also provides four spacious reception rooms, suitable for the staging of all kinds of events and meetings and a complete fitness centre with sauna. One of the most charming spots in the Eurostars Das Letras is its delicious terrace restaurant, noteworthy for its select decoration that creates a warm, minimalist atmosphere.
