This annual event, organized by the Hotusa Group chain of hotels, received over 450 competing images sent in by clients.

Barcelona, 18 January 2008.- The second edition of the Eurostars Hotels Photography Prize, ‘Your View is Personal’, organized by the hotel chain amongst clients to offer them the opportunity of contributing their own personal views of the destinations where the chain is present, announces its winners. The first prize goes to an avant-garde image of the entrance to the ‘Stiftung Ludwig Wien’, the Viennese contemporary art museum, photographed by Edgar Fernández. Second place has been awarded to ‘City Life’, a dynamic picture taken by Jelle Vermeiren in Prague (Czech Republic), while the third prize is for ‘Divine Ray’, an original interior view of Santa Maria in Trastevere (Rome), by Jesús Heredia.

The creators of the three prize-winning photographs will receive free accommodation consisting of five, three and two days stays, respectively, at any Eurostars Hotel, plus Olympus cameras, amongst which the Reflex Digital E-400, the Miu 760 and the FE 230 are models worth highlighting.

The panel of judges has also given consolation prizes to seven photographs by Tiffany Noelle Hodder, Lucía Dobarro, Carol Endean Little, Christian Bermúdez, Josep Lluís Grau, Ana Isabel Ezquerra and Andrei Vocurek, all of whom are to receive a digital Olympus FE 210 camera. Finally, the quality of work by the following additional 15 competitors who were qualified as finalists, namely: José Ramon Bugliot,Jesús Rodríguez, Ricardo Díaz, Ian Cooper, Alberto Mateos, Ángel Hacer, Anna Blanco, Aline Yoldi, Anna Caballol, Denise Pialleport, Francesco Soppelsa, Ángel Martín, Leire Eguinoa, Marianne Jensen and Luis Daniel Cortázar, will be acknowledged in the form of a diploma.

As with the first edition of this event, the 25 selected photographs, which include images of Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Brussels, Corunna, Cordova, Huelva, Lucca, Prague, Toledo, Valencia and Rome, will form part of a travelling exhibition that will be shown at all the establishments belonging to the hotel chain.

The panel of judges of this second edition of the Eurostars Hotels Photography Prize, ‘Your View is Personal’, chaired by Marta Sanjurjo who represented Hotusa and coordinated by Josep Rigol, Photographer and Exhibition Organizer, also included Agustí Argelich, Photographer, Director of the Filmets Festival Cinema and Channel 3/24 Producer; Jaume Campdepadrós, Photographer and Global Image Head of Public Relations; Sara Fernández, member of the Marketing Department for the Olympus Sales Division and Federica Di Matteo, the person in charge of the Eurostars Hotels Art Department.

In this second edition of the event, a total of 450 entries were received, all sent in by clients of Eurostars Hotels, from a wide selection of countries, such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Ireland, Belgium, U.S.A., Argentina, Colombia, Holland, Poland, Germany, Australia, Norway, Peru or New Zealand. The third edition of the competition will shortly be announced, with the only requisite for eligibility being that of having been accommodated at any one of the establishments belonging to Eurostars Hotels in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
