Cool Bites, the new Eurostars Angli's restaurant opens its doors

01/12/2006 The Eurostars Anglí  has just opened its ‘Cool Bites’ restaurant, a designer restaurant that completes and complements its modern facilities. It is an area bathed in sunlight, situated on the main floor of the hotel and decorated with striking motifs where one can sample dishes of the highest quality and originality.

The restaurant offers a selection based on the best of Mediterranean cuisine – with a touch of the designer’s hand – in consonance with the hotel decoration. As is the case with the other restaurants belonging to Eurostars Hotels establishments, the star performer at Cool Bites will be the produce, for which reason the menu card has been restricted to dishes that are typical of the region from where they come.

The Cool Bites menu card will comprise starters such as: Bouquet of the Season’ Lettuces, Vegetable Wok with Beetroot Vinegar; Warm Salad of Scallops, Wild Mushrooms, Germinated Shoots and Celery Emulsion; Egg Tagliatelli accompanied by Red Pesto and Creamed Olives; Smoked Parmentier Cream with Mushroom Douxelle of the Season; Bomba Rice Casserole with Wild Asparagus, Scampi and Mahon Cheese or Foie Poele Escalopes with Golden Apple Purée and Pedro Ximenez Sherry Sauce.

Meat lovers can sample an excellent RedSirloin Steak with Sautéd Cabbage, Peas and Tender Kidney Beans, Gently Roasted Back of Lamb with Oporto Spring Onions, Shitake and Mint, or the Duck Magret with Pont Neuf Potatoes, accompanied by a small Rocket Salad and Prune Sauce. Those that prefer fish can find dishes such as Tuna Flank in Sesame Batter on a bed of Escalivada (baked peppers and aubergines) and Raspberry Oil; Rock Fish with Potatoes, Spinach and Pine Nuts in Green Sauce or the Codfish Confit, caramelized Onion with Rosemary Honey and Fine Purée of Beans.

To round up the feast, one can choose from a delicious selection of desserts, such as the Banana and Dark Chocolate Brownie, the White Chocolate with Red Fruits or the Mandarins with Praliné and Gingerbread, or even for a Salad of Fruits of the Season.
