Information about Cordoba

For these reasons in 1994 part of the Cordoba’s old city was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The multiform spirit is also shown by the regional cuisine, harmonious union between fresh seafood and excellent field products.
Cordoba’s main attraction is certainly the Great Mosque, a mosque-cathedral that is one of the most incredible and peculiar monuments worldwide. The meeting between traditional Christian elements and typical signs of Islamic art makes this building unique. In the same area can be found the famous “Patio de los Naranjos” (orange tree court). From the Great Mosque crossing the Roman Bridge, can be reached the Tower of Calahorra, where there is a museum dedicated to the cohabitation between the cultures (Islamic, Christian and Jewish) that mark the city history.
